Tenure-Track Faculty Position

The Howard University Department of Physics and Astronomy invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the area of atmospheric physics at the level of assistant or associate professor. The candidate should have a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Physics, Physics, or a related area. The candidate should have research and teaching expertise in, but not limited to, some of the following areas: atmospheric physics, remote sensing, lidar instrumentation, cloud physics, cloud-aerosol-precipitation interactions, atmospheric-land interactions, numerical weather prediction, synoptic meteorology, or atmospheric modeling. The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to establish an externally funded research program and will be expected to teach and mentor both graduate and undergraduate students.
