Dr. Christine M. Kennefick grew up in both Maryland and northern California.
She holds both a Bachelor of Science Degree with Distinction and in a Departmental
Honors Program and a Master of Science Degree from Stanford University in Stanford,
California. She obtained her Doctor of Philosophy Degree from Cornell University
in Ithaca, New York. Prior to joining Howard University as a Lecturer in
2005, she was a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Physics Department at Shippensburg
University in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, a Senior Research Associate at the Air
Force Research Laboratory near Dayton, Ohio, a Postdoctoral Fellow at the U.S.
Army Research Laboratory in Aberdeen, Maryland, a guest scientist at the Max Planck
Institute in Stuttgart, Germany, and a Postdoctoral Associate at the NASA Lewis
Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
