Dr. Demetrius D. Venable is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Howard University. He served on the faculty of Howard from July 1, 1995 until his retirement in May 2017. Dr. Venable served as the Department Chairperson from July 1995 until June 2007. Before coming to Howard, he served as a senior Associate Engineer at IBM; as Assistant Professor of Physics and Director of the Cooperative Physics Program at St. Paulís College; and as Professor, Department Chair, Vice President for Research and Dean of the Graduate College, and Executive Vice President and Provost at Hampton University. He currently serves as President of Belmead on the James, Inc. a 501(c)(3) company. Details are given in the links below:
